MULWAREE HIGH SCHOOL'S CAREERS - NEW WEBSITE
Mulwaree High School has a new website Mulwaree High Careers it's a "One Stop Shop" for everything you need with Career Planning and help.
Mulwaree High School provides a full-time Careers Advisory service for all of its students and their parents/guardians. the aim is to provide the skills and knowledge that students need to effectively manage career decisions throughout their lives.
Briefly the service provides:
- A structured careers education program for Year 10, covering important topics such as getting a job, interview techniques, resume and cover letter writing, university entrance requirements, TAFE courses, apprenticeship/traineeship information, assisting and advising Year 10 students in appropriate and realistic subject choices for Years 11 and 12 and work experience organisations.
- Individual counselling and consultation with Year 11 and 12 students regarding their future career plans, providing up-to-date and timely advice to students seeking tertiary study (including course availability, course prerequisites, ATAR requirements, scholarship possibilities), providing information about post school education alternatives to University study and research information about work.
Throughout the year, guest speakers are invited to give presentations regarding careers or excursions are organised to workplaces. Courses are also arranged as the need arises. Information will be put into the newsletter and on the daily notices.
