The Canteen is the main fundraiser for the P&C. The Canteen operates efficiently through the P&C Canteen Committee but requires additional volunteer help. The Canteen is in need of volunteer workers to work for four hours once a month. Volunteers are required to make bread rolls and sandwiches for the children at Mulwaree and serve at the counter at recess and lunchtime. You will find the children are very polite and well supervised by the teachers who allow only two children to a window at any time. It is an enjoyable day, not a difficult one and it is one way you can contribute to making Mulwaree High School an even better school. If four hours is too long, just to serve at lunchtime for 45 minutes is a wonderful help. It is also a great way to feel less "shut out" of your children's high school lives. Please give it some serious thought, we really need your help and with every new worker come fresh ideas.
School uniform items are available at the Canteen. Please see page 28 for a uniform price list. The Canteen also has a clothing pool for second hand clothing.

Canteen facts
* MHS Canteen makes about $25,000 per annum, all of which is used by the school for your children.
* Every volunteer receives a free lunch.
* Every volunteer receives $2 off the price of their child's lunch on the day they work.
The time given by those who work in the Canteen is, and should always be, appreciated by parents, children and school staff.
Without them, the Canteen would not be possible.
