The Languages Faculty at Mulwaree High School offers languages courses in German and Japanese.
In Year 7, students study German for 100 hours. Students have the opportunity to begin developing competency in speaking, listening, reading and writing in German, as well as an intercultural awareness of German speaking societies.
In Years 9 - 10, students can elect to study German for 200 hours. Students practice authentic German language, play language games and explore topics of personal interest. This could empower students to further improve their proficiency at communicating in the German language and in German speaking societies.
In Years 11 - 12, students can elect to study German or Japanese as part of their HSC studies. Students will follow an approved course and assessment schedule to improve their communicative, linguistic and intercultural competencies as they work towards meeting the prescribed outcomes in their Stage 6 German and Japanese courses.
