Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
At Mulwaree High School, supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is an integral part of everyday school life. We provide this support through:
- Teachers who help students feel welcome, included and valued
- Access to school counsellors, psychologists and specialist staff
- Programs that promote health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- Support for students who are new or transitioning between year levels
- Clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- Staff who know each student and work closely with families
- Development of individual health care plans where needed
- Open communication about wellbeing and available support
Our approach ensures that every student feels supported, safe, and able to thrive at school.

Opportunity shop
The MHS Opportunity Shop is a unique second-hand store run within our school community. Instead of money, the only “payment” required is a smile and a thank you.
The shop is stocked entirely through generous donations from staff and the wider community. These donations range from clothing and shoes to books, toys, and household items. The purpose of the shop is to support students and families who may be in need, offering them practical help in a way that is both respectful and welcoming.
The Opportunity Shop is especially helpful at key times of the year. At Christmas, it provides access to thoughtful gifts, and throughout the seasons it helps meet clothing needs such as warm jackets in winter or lighter clothing in summer.
More than just a place to collect items, the Opportunity Shop reflects the values of kindness and community spirit at MHS. It is a reminder that small acts of generosity can make a big difference in the lives of others.
